TRAVEL ESSENTIALS | For Summer Heat

Ah, summer! The month of June I spent traveling from California to Florida to New York to Arizona and boy was it
H-O-T!! Not only hot, but humid and sunny. Having grown up in St. Petersburg, FL. I forgot how humid it really is and that it takes a few days to adjust. These are a handful of pieces I brought and wore on repeat. I'm planning on bringing them when I'm off again in August as they were lifesavers.  I always felt chic and cool(literally)!

A Packable Hat is a must! For travel to the city, beach or mountains, this Panama Hat from J. Crew is the best! I searched a looooong time to find a hat that was flattering to the face, had the right sized brim, depth of crown and travel friendly.  The fact that it is reasonably priced was a bonus. You'll see me in many photo's with this hat. I think I need to order a second one just to have!

A Cotton Blouse! First of all, I'm a sucker for dramatic sleeves. It's true. Most of my blouses or tops have some sort of cool detail.  When I saw this lightweight poplin Tilda Blouse by Rebecca Minkoff, I knew this would be a staple in my wardrobe and boy has it been. I sized up because it's slightly cropped, looks great with wide leg linen pants, jeans and skirts of all kinds! Day to evening too!  I wore this so much because it was the coolest top I brought.  Right now it's on sale too!
If you prefer something a bit more covered Tibi has beautiful cotton poplin blouses that are super lightweight and stunning you can find them at Nordstrom Rack or Tibi. Hint : Look for material that says 100% Cotton, Poplin.

The Golden Sandal. Or any metallic sandal or slide. These saved my feet, let me tell you! This was a purchase in Tampa, Fl. and I have worn them pretty much every day since. My best friend got a pair at the same time! When we were in NYC walking for MILES during the day (and staying with friends in NJ) I quickly learned I had to wear my workout shoes by day, tucked these gold puppies in my tote and could slip them on before dinner! Thankfully, the athletic shoe is on trend to wear right now so I didn't feel like a total tourist. The best part about these shoes...? They're from Naturalizer! Yes, I said Naturalizer, Mason is the name of the sandal. Comfy and cute! Also on sale right now, I have 3 other pair in my cart as I write.

Chic jewelry!  Last, but certainly not least... my very own Zoé DuFour Collection Essentials! They always get compliments and I always feel chic.  You can mix and match, wear as earrings, wear as a pendant, wrap the chain as a bracelet, wear it as a necklace, add the pearl, take it off, and on and on.
